The late Skitch Henderson would be pleased to know that his former assistant at The New York Pops, which he founded in 1983, is the organization's new executive director. Anne M. Swanson has been working her way up the ladder at the Pops since September 2001, when he hired her as his assistant. Most recently she was the orchestra's general manager.

The orchestra, of which Steven Reineke is music director, also announced several additions to its board of directors, as well as a new marketing director. Finally, Nicholai Joaquin has been promoted to artistic administrator after three years in the post of office and development coordinator.
